multiplying fractions and whole numbers

now if we want to multiply 4 X 2/9 we can imagine a circle and we divided it to 9 equal parts if we have 2 parts and we repeated it to 4 times then we have 8 parts of 9 parts
              then               4 X 2/9 = 8/9
